iRobot Roomba j7+ vs i8+ : Comparison
A family member shared her experience with Roomba j7+ and we’ve summarized here what she said.
Her previous Roomba model she had was loud and unpleasant to listen to as it cleaned. However, this Roomba is not only quieter but also has many great features that make cleaning easier.
For instance, the Roomba has a map that shows all of the objects in its path so you can set up cleanings for specific rooms or the whole home without worrying about getting around obstacles.
It sends pictures to your phone of the obstacles it encounters so you can avoid them during future cleanings or work with your cleaner to deal with them. Another good feature is that it empties itself which is a huge time saver!
Grace is very satisfied with this Roomba and she recommends it to others.
The Roomba j7+ has many great features that make it more efficient than previous models. Grace likes the self-emptying feature, quietness, reduced price tag, and cleaning power of the j7+. She is very satisfied with her purchase and recommends the product to others.
The Roomba i8+ is the newest Roomba in production at this time. It has many of the same features as the Roomba 980, but some features are better than on the 980. However, there are also some features that are not present on the i8+.
The smart features of the app are well designed and easy to use which makes it easy when mapping out your floor plan and selecting which rooms you would like to vacuum.
One issue with this is that when running a training session, it can be frustrating if you forget to select which rooms you want to be vacuumed because you need to press “Clean” in order for these rooms to be selected.
The suction power of the i8+, while not as strong as the 980, is still pretty powerful and does a great job at cleaning up your home.
The battery also has an increase of only 5 minutes over the battery on the i7 which will provide you with about 60 minutes total of running time.
I believe so far this vacuum is better than the Roomba 980 because it has all of the smart features for mapping out your home, but it is cheaper which makes it even more accessible to those who want a great robot vacuum.
However, there are some things such as the battery life and suction power that are not as strong as on the 980. But I think if you have carpets this may be a great vacuum for you.
I would recommend this to those who have bare floors and lots of carpets. If you just have bare floors, then the Roomba 980 would be a better choice because it has stronger suction and longer battery life.
And if you just have carpets, then the i7 is also a great choice for you because it has all of the same features as the i8+ minus the carpets boost.
