Both are very similar but with minor differences here and there.
Let’s compare and see what those minor differences are.
Roborock S6 vs. S6 Pure : Robot Vacuum Cleaner Comparison
The S6 Pure allegedly mop cleaner compared to the S6. Although this model claims to be better than the base model, as far as mopping goes, it’s designed only for large areas.
In comparison to this claim, the water reservoir of the S6 base model is 40 ml more spacious. In spite of this change, the mopping process, the options for adjusting the water, and the cleaning capacities are unchanged.
S6 Pure still achieves the same results despite its larger mopping area. Prior to mopping, the floor must still be vacuumed three times. Although it is not a time-consuming process, it can take several hours if your floor is large.
After the robots have cleaned your floors, they will appear cleaner, but they won’t be as clean as they would be if you did it yourself. When it comes to cleaning, many mopping robots tend to be subpar. Its mopping abilities are not enhanced like the S6.
Roborock has always been known for its wide selection of sensors. With the S6 line of robotics products, Roborock introduces the first robotics product that includes infrared, acoustic, accelerometer, compass, odometer, and acoustic sensors, as well as infrared.
With 14 sensors, the S6 is capable of mapping, navigating, and locating itself in the house. Using the same sensor types as the S6 Pure, this phone seems to offer maps and maneuverability as well. The device is equipped with just 11 sensors.
In this case, the removal of non-essential sensors allowed for a large reservoir. The two robots appear to function similarly despite having many sensors.
This model offers a comprehensive cleaning system and is claimed to be quieter. With the quiet mode, the same amount of noise (50 dB) and cleaning pattern is generated.
While it was introduced, the S6 received little attention. Because the previous models had stiffer bristles, some customers noted scratches on softer surfaces like pine.
There are 250% more bristles in the S6 series, resulting in superior cleaning properties. In addition to preventing floor scratches, these properties also loosen dirt from surfaces. However, this claim is false despite the bristles being stiffer.
The combo brushes roller lifts and agitates carpets to loosen dirt and dust while cleaning your floors with its combination of soft and stiff bristles. Scratches can still occur on softwood floors despite their minimization. You should test the robots in a smaller area before releasing them on the entire floor.
Robotrock’s S6 robots are designed to clean carpeted areas, including low-pile and tight-woven medium pile carpets. Dust, debris, and dirt are collected using the 2000pa suction generated by the motor and brush roller.
As with more expensive models, there will be no deep cleaning. The Roborock S6 and S6 Pure offer longer cleaning times even though they are smaller than an upright vacuum.
As well as rugs and area rugs, the robots also clean other types of floor carpets. Fringed, tasseled, or tasseled rugs will make things difficult. The fringe on these rugs should be picked up or tucked underneath.
As brush rollers pick up the fringe, it will become tangled. The rope will be tough to unravel when it is tangled, so be prepared. Tie fringes or tassels in rather than tucking them under rugs.
Using Roborock robots to collect pet hair is an option for pet owners with shedding pets. Although the rollers are clogged and the hair is unwrapped a lot, it does a good job of cleaning the hair.
With the S6 Pure, there is only one on/off button and one for starting a cleaning cycle. There was no longer any LED status indicator on the S6 Pure power button.
Besides Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant devices, you can also use your voice to control Roborock S6. However, these are the only two options available. Cleaning is up to you whether or not you want to do it.
Thirdly, you can charge the robot through Google. These options are available on Alexa-compatible devices when calling “stop”.
The Roborock S6 robot’s mobile application lets you control every aspect of the robot’s functionality. You should now use the Roborock app instead of the Xiaomi app.
The Roborock app will be the only way to control Roborock robots, as well as create, edit, and delete schedules. As well as setting the date and time, you can select cleaning modes, schedule cleaning sessions, start and stop them, and get status updates.
Only the mobile app can be used for containment, so you have no other containment options. A no-go line is a containment feature you can use to establish boundaries, block areas, or prevent access to certain parts of rooms or areas.
An alternative method is to label each room on a map in accordance with a schedule. By selecting the rooms you wish to have cleaned, you can schedule the robot to clean a specific room, multiple rooms, or your whole house.
Both containment options are not 100 percent efficient. Robotic cleaning in most cases ignores or cleans no-go lines in the opposite direction from the lines, meaning cleaners clean the opposite side.
It has also been reported that robots clean unplanned rooms and unattended rooms are left unattended as well.
If the claims are accurate, the zero-go-line feature works all the time. However, this is not a major concern. Neato also encountered this issue even after releasing more than half a dozen updates.
Despite the S6’s problems, I haven’t tested the update, but I see a lot of promise in it. In spite of this, it should be resolved with one of the updates, since each of the changes made customer experiences more palatable.
